New years resolutions.

Tue Jan 2, 2007, 4:38 AM
My new years resolutions are simple ones, hopefully simple enough that I can actually keep to them!

The first one is to reply to all the comments people have made to me that I haven't already replied to. So if you left me a comment months ago and have only just had a reply... sorry, but better late than never!

The second one is to help other artists, so if you have questions about oils or portrait painting leave them here or send me a note and I will try to answer them.

Hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and I wish you a very creative new year!

=P Good luck with the comments thing; I'm sure you get more than me and it isn't easy to keep on top of them, especially if you're busy

I personally think we should take all the world leaders, put them in a bull-pit and let them fight to the death. Then the rest of us can go party.

A man who steals bread is desperate; a man who steals art is pond-scum.

Ok, You're on. Where would you like to start? What kind of professional oil painter do you want to be? Traditional, abstract, conceptual? What kind of art do you like? Do you have any specific questions about being a professional oil painter?

yes ... wanna be a portrait pro. ... my real problem in oils is getting the real colours together ... the lighter .. the darker ... complementary colours in light&shadow ... those kind of problems ... also I have a question about how to start an oil portrait ... putting lines first or colouring immediately ??
thanks :)
